Basehor City Park is located approximately a mile west of 155th Street at:

Amenities & General Information

The park has the following amenities: 

  • 3 Children’s Playground areas
  • Gazebo (#1)
  • Pavilion (#3)
  • 2 Large Shelters (#2 and #4)
  • Restroom facility
  • Volleyball court
  • Walking Trail 
  • 2 Basketball Courts

All facilities are available at no charge from dawn to dusk. No alcohol is allowed at any time on City property. Questions or concerns about the Park should be addressed to City Hall staff by email or by phone at 913-724-1370.

Basehor City Park was established through the joint effort of the Basehor Park Association and the City of Basehor. The Park Association continues to raise funds to improve the park through donations of aluminum cans for recycling and the City’s annual budget.

Park Reservations

The Gazebo, Pavilion, and Shelters may be reserved at no charge. Please fill out a Park Reservation Form, save it, and then attach it and email City Hall, or deliver it to the City Hall front desk or dropbox at:

Guest Access

All guests have access to restroom facilities and waste receptacles are provided. Additionally, electrical outlets, water spigots ($10 refundable deposit required) and large charcoal BBQ grills are available for each facility. Single BBQ grills, picnic tables, and benches are located throughout the park.

The Gazebo, the smallest facility, has two picnic tables, and a handicap accessibility ramp.

The shelter is the closest facility to the large playground and volleyball pit, has 6 tables, and a ground level concrete pad.

The Pavilion has 2 picnic tables and a ground level concrete pad making it easily accessible for all guests.

The new shelter is the largest facility with 10 tables and a large open area for bounce houses or other acceptable activities.
