  1. Name the Great Pumpkin Contest

    September 20, 2018 - October 26, 2018 @ Basehor City Hall

    We would like your help naming the great big pumpkin donated by Joe Nick, which is now located at Basehor City Park next to the Community Garden. Contest open to ages 5-12. City staff will pick the top three winners to be featured on the City website and e-News. Each winner will receive a $10 Chamber bucks gift certificate. One grand prize winner will receive the honor of naming the great pumpkin and City Council will present a certificate to the grand prize winner. In order to enter, print off one of the Name the Great Pumpkin Entry Forms and return it to City Hall by Friday, October 26th. Winners will be notified on Monday, October 29th.

  2. TRAFFIC ALERT-158th Street Closed

    October 8, 2018, All Day

    Beginning October 8th, 2018, the City will close 158th Street to make improvements at the intersection of Garden Parkway and 158th Street. 158th Street will be closed at Parallel Road (no access south), access from State Avenue will be directed to Wolf Creek Parkway and be able to travel east to 155th Street. Access to the Basehor Public Library will be through the Prairie Gardens subdivision via Garden Parkway. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic to and from the school and library during this phase of construction.
