The Basehor City Park continues to grow as the Basehor Public Works Department update some of the current features while adding new ones as well. The park now offers four facilities, that can be reserved free of charge, along with additional parking. With the addition of the new shelter on the northeast side of the park, there are two large shelters along with the gazebo and pavilion available for reservations. All facilities offer water and electricity, along with grills spread throughout the park. In addition to the new shelter, the walking trail at the park was expanded to 6 foot wide and is a one-mile loop. The Public Works Department recently replaced the drinking fountains at the park due to issues with the previous fountains and to accommodate more visitors. There are future plans for more updates and additions to Basehor City Park in the upcoming year.
