PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE! The City of Basehor is in the process of updating the community’s long-range Comprehensive Plan and Parks Master Plan and we need your input on the draft document! If you live, work, or play in Basehor, we want to know what you think. The plan covers topics such as future land use, natural resources, transportation, and parks and recreation - as well as sub-area concept plans for a few strategic locations throughout the city. Join us for an open house event at the Basehor Community Library on Thursday, September 1st. Stop by anytime from 3:30 to 7:30 to view the draft plan and provide additional input to the consultant team about your vision for the community. We hope to see you there! 

BASEHOR KIDS: A box city event will be hosted at the Basehor Community Library 1400 158th St., Basehor from 3:30 to 7:30 for Basehor youth 12 years or younger. At this event, kids are encouraged to stop by and help design, create, and layout their ideal city. This fun and engaging event will help them think about what they want Basehor to look like in the future and for the parents, an open house will be held simultaneously at the Basehor Community Library to get additional input on the draft Comprehensive Plan and Parks Master Plan.
