Burn Permits:  All burn permits are issued through Leavenworth County, call 913-724-1313 and request a burn permit prior to burning anything within the city or county.

Street Lights:  If a streetlight in your neighborhood is not working, try to locate the number of the light located on the pole or on the box behind the pole and contact either Westar Energy at 1-800-383-1183 or the police clerk at 913-724-1370 ext. 30 and we'll attempt to assist you in getting the light repaired.  It may take up to 10 working days for them to repair the light.

Lost and Found Property:  Occasionally something you have may get lost or you may find something on your property that belongs to someone else.  If this should occur, contact the police clerk at 913-724-1370 ext. 30 to see if the property has been turned in or you want to turn in the found property.

Reports:  When a police report has been filed and you need a copy, please allow 10 days from the date of the incident for the report to be completed and processed.  At that time you may request a copy of what is deemed open to the public record for the amount of $3.50.  Check or money order accepted only.

Fingerprints:  Many employers require fingerprints to be obtained for applications.  If you should need fingerprinted you may come to the Police Department between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.  There is a $15.00 fee for this service.  Check or money order accepted only.
