Mr. Slaugh, a native of Logan, Utah, has six years of professional local government executive experience combined with prior management
experience from his 20 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force. Prior to
his appointment as city administrator in Basehor in 2006, he served as city
administrator for the City of Hiawatha from 2002 to 2006 and as community
development coordinator for the City of Merriam from 2000 to 2002. He has a bachelor and master's degree in Industrial Education from Utah State
University, Logan, Utah and a Master of Public Administration degree from
the University of Kansas. Mr. Slaugh is married to the former Cheryl K.
Doudna of Earlville, Iowa and they have five children and 11 grandchildren.
