Building Around the City

Wolf Creek Marketplace held their groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday, November 17, 2007. Their building plans are still under review, but their public improvement plans have been approved.

The Basehor Community Library's tentative final inspection for the upstairs is planned for sometime in December and on the downstairs to be in January. They plan to open in March 2008.

The Medicine Store's building plans have been approved and their site construction plans are nearing approval. After addressing a few formalities, permits should be ready within the next couple of weeks.

The City has issued a total of 93 single-family permits and 7 multi-family permits so far in 2007. This is above 2006 issuing of 82 single-family permits and 13 multi-family permits.

		New businesses coming to Basehor! A grand opening is set for Saturday, February 16 for Timeless Formals which will be located in Basehor Town Square, Suite 6B. Kim's Nail Salon will be moving in Pinehurst shopping center at the end of January. The nail salon will offer manicures, pedicures and artificial nails. Basehor City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 18 in observance of President's Day.
