Welcome
to the town of Basehor
The year 1889 marks the real beginning of the town of Basehor.
The City has become known for its lovely residential neighborhoods,
beautiful park and excellent schools. Over the past several
years, the City has benefited from the addition of retail
and office developments. With its convenient location to two
major interstates and its small town atmosphere, Basehor will
continue to grow in the years to come. As a resident or a
visitor enjoy the tranquility of small-town America.

Notes From the City Administrator
Carl Slaugh
The 2008 Dairy Days Festival was a great success! The activities and events provided a wide variety of interesting things to do for those who attended. The various types of food, crafts, vendor items, free eye screening sponsored by the Basehor Lions Club, displays by the Fairmont Township Fire Department, petting zoo and free dairy products courtesy of Robert’s Dairy all contributed to a super time.
The major events included a fun run, Chris Cakes breakfast, Marching Cobras and several singing or performing groups or individuals.
I extend compliments and appreciation to the staff and other volunteers who worked over the last year to put the event together and the sponsors who helped make it financially possible. The committee consisted of the following:
Melanie Morris, Chairperson
Jenne Laytham, Vice-Chair
Lila White, Treasurer
Kaci Brutto, Publicity
Nola Cooper
Judy Goens
Hans Lamprecht
Joyce McMillan
Mary Mogle
Thank you from the committee.
