Pet Tags Reminder - A brief reminder to all pet owners within the City limits of Basehor. All dogs and cats over six months of age must be registered with the Basehor Police Department annually. To register your pet please provide a copy of rabies vaccination along with payment of $5.00 to the Police Department.  Payment may be in the form of check, money order, MasterCard or Visa; the City does not accept cash. Pet tags must be worn at all times.  Should you be the owner of any of the following breed of animals, contact the Police Department for additional information; Pit bull, Staffordshire bull terrier, American pit bull, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler and Wolf-hybrid (or any dog which has the appearance and characteristics of being predominantly of the aforementioned breeds). Owners of these animals have additional requirements for keeping these breeds within the City limits. Pet owners have ten days after residing inside City limits to register animals and comply with City code. Contact the Basehor Police Department (724-3397) for additional information.
